Going to be in Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur) next week, just wondering if anyone has any tips on places to go/avoid, cost of eating/drinking, things to buy etc etc??

    Thanks!

Chinatown in general and Petaling Street in particular is good for a day's wandering. There you can pick up any bootleg CD or DVD you could possibly want. The Central Market and Friday Mosque are both around that area. The KL and Petronas Towers are also worth a visit, as is the National Mosque and the fascinating Islamic Arts Museum. Both streetside and restaurant food and drink are cheap and tasty.

    Have fun!
