Just saw maplin advertising a fortec star fta kit with 90cm dish for only €130
This would be ideal for all those that missed out on the lidl deals and want a cheap fta system.Perfect for getting bbc1,2,3,4 and ITV1,2,3,4

It was €164, has it been reduced?

A much better dish but possibly nothing better in the LNB/Receiver part.

They also do a motor, but the Motek at same price elsewhere is a better job.

Can you please confirm what accessories actually come with the package?
Are any extra items needed to mount the dish (brackets/bolts etc.)?

I called into Maplin in town yestrday and the guy was most unhelpful. He was more suited to the counter in a burger joint than an electronics retailer.

Many thanks (in advance) for the info.

maplin can be like that sometimes. It depends on whose at the counter at the time you go in. Some of them will know more about satellite systems than others.

All you should need is the cable and connectors. There might be a bracket with it but probably no bolts to bolt it to the wall. Just email them or ask someone else in the store.

    Hi,

Will a normal sky digibox work with FTA I dont have the service anymore but theres an old viewing card still in the machine.

The dish is mounted on the back of the house. Everything seems to be in order, but I cant programme channels into the digibox its not that type of box :( so what are my alternatives?

    Thanks for replys.
