Well we don't have to use other channels to view ITV 4 or the missing card trick.:)

This is great - although presumably the appearance of this "on its own" also means we won't be seeing ITV2 (or even UTV) for that matter on the Irish EPG today.

Unless they have paid for placement on the Irish EPG it wont last long.

    But if they have....

Would it not be the same as ITV3 which is on the Irish EPG from day one.

I know the issue is the fact ITV4 will show champions league etc and ITV3 only shows old back catalogue stuff.

Does it seem ITV have decided that the TV3 clashing issue is not a big deal for them anymore?

The good part about this is that if TV3 push the debate hard and lose we could end up with all the ITV channels on the EPG before long. We can only hope.

Ah right, fingers crossed. It's very handy for the sky+ and I like their programme line-up already, all that ITC back catalogue is fantastic, but I see your point. This is why BBC3 & 4 aren't on our EPG then.

No, as ITV already had the EPG placement for ITV3, as it replaced Granada Plus. ITV4, new channel, back to the old rules.

As I posted in the other thread, saving millions from Sky is far more beneficial to ITV than a few hundred grand from Ireland.

Yep, all the old ATV stuff is great. (hence the avatar :))
Same issue applies for BBC3 etc, yes. In the past, some channels have appeared on the EPG that were not meant to, ITV4 could be one of them.

I really hope we dont lose ITV4 from our epg, but I seem to remember us having CBBC and Cbeebies on our EPG on the launch day with an 08 screen and they removed it a day later so they can easily just take away ITV4 from our epg if they want to.

I had them turned off but switched it back on just now, that was a cool ident.

Still no sign of ITV2 on 118.

In Other Channels we now have ITV4 rather than the numberic code it had.

I think if it was a mistake we would have lost it by now, looks like ITV4 is here to stay:)

    ITV4 is deadly.

Although it's great to see ITC stuff coming out on DVD.

ITC 50 is a great four disc compilation of 18 different shows.

Also Man In A Suitcase, Strange Report are well worth picking up.

Randall and Hopkirk Deceased due out in March - Network are doing it. The Carlton set wasn't good.
