Well maybe. But then there's a dearth of F-,B-, C- and W-words. So not entirely.

I will be drunk for a week if we pull it off, but you've got to admit, it's unlikely in the extreme.

Their 'second-choice' wings are Sivivatu and Howlett. Likely to be faced by Anthony Horgan and Girvan Dempsey.

Can't imagine their pack is going to be intimidated by a front row of Best Byrne and Hayes either.

There is always a chance for the underdog if they have a great player who can pull something out of the fire and a few hard-working types who can rise to the occasion. But who's going to be our stand-out performer? O'Driscoll? Out. Hickie? Out O'Connell? Out?

    D'Arcy? unlikely
    Murphy? ditto

Trevor Brennan? Now why isn't he even in the squad for a game like this?

just the sort we need for this one.

Ah yes, because that'll really show 'em.

It's that kind of moronic attitude that put me off going to soccer games altogether. I'd rather not have the bandwagon louts ruining my enjoyment of rugby games too.

Trevor Brennan isn't going to play for Ireland, particularly as long as Eddie O'Sullivan is at the helm. He's been too critical of the setup in Leinster etc. and has probably trodden on too many toes (metaphorical) to get a call up any time soon. I don't think it's as much a case of out of sight, out of mind as people make out.

And we, at the Stade Toulousain, thank you for that! :D

(All joking aside, Trevor should be playing that match IMO...)

Oh I agree! Alas it seems that ability hasn't got a whole lot to do with team selection.

Trevor Brennan used to come to our school and have assemblys with all the lads in the school trying to get 'em into rugby. The girls used to go mad 'til they realised what it was for ... Wonder what my old principal would think if he knew I played :)

It’s shocking he's not in the Irish set up. This game against NZ is exactly the type of game that we need him. Steady Eddie, sooner the better he gets found out.

Gatland got shafted; EOS reaped the benefits for what Gatland started.

    Apologies for going off topic.

Fabien Pellous mentioned in L'Equippe last week that he couldn't understand that he doesn't get his game for Ireland.

Unfortunately Eddie is a stubborn git and once he takes a dislike to someone, you never get back on his good side (Apparently Trevor used to be quite vocal in the leinster changing room about how they shouldn't make the same mistakes the irish management make).

I would be game on for all the abuse towards the all black players but it is just gonna seem stupid and immature when we get thrashed.

We would get much more respect as a rugby playing nation if we took our beating while creating a super atmosphere without resorting to abusing opposition players.

Snickers you have a problem mate. Tana ain't going to play because he's scared of you and your mates yelling things at him. Consequently he asked managment for time off. So you could probably find him at your place with your mum. Ok ?

Well, being a girl I was excluded from the rugby promotion assemblies with Trevor Brennan.

He might find Lansdowne Road a little less scary. My mum's a dab hand with the carving knife. He could end up with a proper boy's haircut.

C'mon Snickers Man...get over it mate!!:D Possibly the judiciary at the time ruled too hastily in favour of Mealamu/Umaga ( I think even the most blinkered AB supporter would agree...), but they are both 'sound- lads' and good sportsmen...I have watched both players over the years in domestic matches .

Let 's not forget the Welsh / NZ test of 2003... Umaga rushed to the Welsh player Charvis's aid when he was knocked unconscious by AB Jerry Collins, Umaga rolled him over and made sure that he had not swallowed/ choked on his mouthguard ...Umaga recieved an International Fair Play Award for that.

TBH, the All Blacks will take all the media sniping, bitching in their stride...it will just put more 'fire -in the -belly' come the day of the match.

My prediction ...Ireland turn on an intense opening 25 minutes...possibly get the first 3-6 points via the boot...AB's get their **** -together ...two tries before the break...Second half the hapless Irish get ' Rag-Dolled' around Landsdowne Park:D :D AB's to post 40 points.

I think cops call that the Mutt 'n Jeff routine. Nasty cop kicks the crap out of you. Nice cop makes you a cup of tea afterwards. Either way, they both get what they want out of you.

Nobody could possibly argue with the logic of that prognosis. My hope is that logic gets cast to the four winds, one or more of the Blacks has an absolute mare of an afternoon, and all the balls that bounced the All Blacks' way over the past 100 years will bounce the other way for one afternoon only.
