odd problem with Word addin (vb)

    I have made a word addin that is accessed using a menu in word.

    If you open a document or start a new document within word, the menu stops responding. If you open a second document the menu responds for that one. If you open more documents the menu does not work for them.

    I put a msgbox showing any errors in the disconnect method. If you quite word while the menu is not responding this msgbox appears and shows 0 (no errors).

    Anybody any idea what is going on with this?
