Hey all.

Im not to sure if your aware, and its probably been posted already knowing my luck but I cant find it, but MSN MEssenger 8 has been released to its Beta Testers.

It has been leaked and there are many crakcs and downloads for it (which I wont mention here as a mod prob wont agree with it) but there still a bit dodgy if you ask me. I wasnt able to really use it myself, so I didnt bother Beta Testing it.

Aswel as that, MSN Messenger 8 is now called "Windows Live Messenger". Lots of new features and improvments, which will probably put MSGPlus! out of business!

Mods: If this has been posted before, feel free to merge or remove. Search is down and Google didnt throw up much of a result.

looks nice i have to say.

seems like microsoft are trying to get away from version numbers and release dates in their product names.

maybe a even clear cut sign that they don't update their products as much as other software developers.

Well I finaly got it to work with my PC. If anyone wants some screenshots, ask here and ill post them up

Offline Messenging is one feature anyway.

i downloaded it aswell but as i try to sign in it says

"The passport ID used to sign in is not allowed access to this beta version of messenger. 810003cc"

Some quite nice feature's in it.

You need a patch otherwise it won't work..

Thats because you need a special patch - you got two types about. Iv no problems giving out those details, but id say the mods to.

That error btw, is because M$ have a list of all beta-testers MSN passport IDs and when you attempt to sign in, it verifies your a tester but ur not so you get rejected ;D

all i can c is just a new theme? the patches u need to sign are annoying as you need to keep the window open the whole time (so far anyway)

Aye. There is code to get rid of the image, but not the window
