hey all, my band is changing to B standard but we have a huge problem.. both the guitarists in my band have floyd roses (aaahhh hi hate floyd roses) so they'll be changin up to 12 to 54 gauge strings.. can these be put on floyd roses? i heard somewhere that 11s was the limit.. o and if it can be done is there any change in setup needed to be done?

    thanks y'all:v: ........ (hehe)

as far as i know 11s are only the limit if you're tuned to standard tuning. you might need to add a spring in the back i play 11-54s on a floyd with 5 springs in e standard so 12-54s tuned to B should be fine.

I've just got a Floyd 7 and I'll be putting a 58 into it. It's down to the manufacturer I suppose, some of the licenced Floyds have slightly different dimensions.
