Check out Ronnie (or Ronney) Jordan; English guitarist who was part of acid jazz when that was trendy but is a good guitarist (Wes Montgomery inspired I think) and does a range of stuff from funk to what sounds to my middle aged ears like rap but is very funky and jazzy. He also did the version of So What that is probably more familiar to yer average Joe than Miles Davis original.

    Great call my friend!
I've most of Ronny's stuff including some great stuff he did with Mos Def ("Brighter Day"), DJ Krush ("The Jackal") and Guru ("No time to play"), who he worked with a number of times.
His version of 'So What" is class and he did a cool version of "My Favourite Things" once aswell!
I'll definitely put some of Ronny's stuff on the next two volumes, in nearly forgot about him!

Don't know if you've already played this but Jurassic 5 - Jayou. It's a cool track, nice flute work in it.

Listening to your show, good stuff. Missed it the other weeks unfortunately. I completely forgot about Us3 and Mr Scruff, it's obviously too late now but excellent groups nonetheless!

Let me know if there's any more Jazz shows coming up, I'll try to listen in.
