Is the ULSU forum really that helpful? If you look at the UCD forum here on boards.ie, its busier than the UCDSU forum (and UCDSU has had a longer web presence)...by the same token, despite the fact that the Boards UL forum is only up a matter of weeks, we're busier than the SU forum- which has been up since May, apparently...


just being devils advotace/throwing cat amongst pidgeons here :P

That's a good question really. I like the idea of independence though - that ULSU own their board and it isn't just a collection of people on another board with something in common. The problem with the ULSU board is that no one knows it exists - a problem that should be addressed by the CCO, esp with advertising in An Focal.

Was playing around on the UL website due to the imminent return to college(CRINGE)
And i came across this site : All about computer usage on campus and from outside campus

A dead handy link to access your student e-mails from just the internet (no outlook) and how to do it (see bottom of page - related documents - the first one)

Ye might all know this but i didint and hasnt been posted so just in case, also there is a detailed description on wirless on campus for laptop users and how to do it and other stuff like messaging and FTP - if ye want i will try post a direct link somewhere as most are java script and wont link.
