While setting up an Audio program, the help file said I needed to download a file called scsi1hlp.exe

When I did, I downloaded it to the desktop but it didnt make a difference to what I wanted to do.

Trouble is.. It wont delete now, its stuck on my desktop. It says another user or file is using it. Ive started in safe mode and get the same error. I also tried moving it, and renaming it. Same error though.

Any idea how to get rid of it? I wish I hadnt gone messing with any of it now.

open a command prompt and delete it from there. Its the only way.

If that doesn't work, the only thing i know of that'll remove it is a format :p

    You could try moveonboot.
    http://www.snapfiles.com/get/moveonboot.html
    It's free.

Eh format??? nooo.. if you cant delete it then its probably because the file is being used by windows... trying safe mode usually woks as sound drivers not running there. Since its still there then if it comes to it boot off a cd and delete from dos.. if using NTFS then boot off windows 2k/xp cd pick recovery console and delete from there or else use an NTFS boot cd like Hiren (excellent!!).
