    AFAIK No.
The vga output on laptops is for output not input.
So if you wanna connect a monitor to display laptop output thats fine.
    If anyone knows better........

If you were really determined its possible, but the laptop has to be functional and in all honesty- that would mean you'd be using two computers at the same time?

Use a VGA breakout box, or a USB TV tuner (some of which will take a VGA input- e.g. Buz) and feed it through USB to the laptop and you could thus display the image.

Its a very roundabout way of doing it........

If you are handy with electronics, have a soldering iron handy, and willing to experiment- you could try to gerrymander a video feed straight to the screen from the graphics card on the PC (or even better- a lot of graphics cards have a mad amount of possible outputs for you to play with). It would make an interesting experiment for a rainy afternoon- but only if you were prepared for any possible adverse consequences.

In short- if you're really determined- yes, its possible, but not easy to do (and it would be far easier to get a replacement external monitor).

Howsabout using VNC which will give the PC output on the laptop screen - not perfect but usable over a 100Mb network connection.

    /I'll get me coat . . .
