eBay - time to risk it?!

In an effort not to hijack the laptop battery thread below I'm asking this seperately. I've found a necessary replacement battery for my Presario 900 - thing is the code on my original (broken) battery is not listed on the eBay battery. BUT! It says it's for the 900 series (as well as a few others) and turning my battery upside down it looks exactly the same as the that in the photo. The guy is a power seller with plenty of stock and 4551 feedbacks.

Yeah I know plenty of battery are roughly the same look but this is identical (from what I can see). It's 50 US dollars and right now ordering one from HP is gonna cost the best part of 200euro.

What do you think I should do?!

Thanks - any advice appreciated as the clocking is counting down on the bid! :D

Got my last battery on ebay as i posted in your other thread.
I was very happy with what i got (from Germany btw).
    A pratically new battery for ~ €35.
Thats less than 1/3 of the price new.
It gave me ~2:30hrs, my old one only gave my 2hrs so i was very happy :D

    Anyway thats my sucess story.

I wasnt sure mine was the same either, you should ask the seller for more info. on the battery or try o read some numbers off the pictures of the battery.

Tips: make sure the seller has plenty of positive feedback (on right of auction item). Check if theyve recently sold an batteries in the sellers history and what feedback was left.

i've bought 3 batteries off ebay (dell latitude type) and 2 of them were great, but one died completely after 2 weeks, and i didn't have any comeback. €40 down the drain.

until i got a job where almost everybody had the same laptops that were always left in the docking stations, and hadn't been moved for months that is. ;)

Ok thanks. Like I said he's got loadsa positive feedback and he does sell plenty of batteries. Think I'll take the risk of 35eu + p&p vs. 200ish. Just hope customs don't sting me!
