Great Guitar Riffs Quiz (2.7MB download)

Open the Excel spreadsheet. Double-click on the sound icon in the cells - you will heard a well-known guitar riff. Below the cell with the sound icon - fill in the appropriate: the name of the song (top) and the artist (bottom).

Quite tricky.. we all know the riffs but identifying the songs can be quite tricky!

Don't cheat by looking for it online... post how well you did!

I haven't finished it yet.. will post back when done!

    nothin opened for me

Don't try and simply left-click to link to open it. Best to right-click on the link --> Save Target As --> save it to hard disk..

Excel documents in my experience have a habit of being screwy unless being opened directly from Hard Disk.

    :)
73% ( although I had some help from a guitar freak friend for some of them)

    49/56 - 88%
Knew them all except for 26. Didn't know the song for 8, 9 and 17. And it's not accepting my spelling for 6 and 11.
What the hell were they thinking with number 24? I bet noone is going to get that. Just a fluke I happened to buy that album back in 92 or whenever it was...

It *was* sampled by a dance band, but they're looking for the origina here.

It really wasn't fair putting that one on the quiz. Every other one is reasonably well known, but 24 is just totally obscure!!!

    29/56 - 52%

    I suck, but I got 13, so in your face Third_Echelon. ;)

It has 3 other sheets all with visible set to xlSheetVeryHidden
    Tools - Protection - unprotect
and you will see that passwords are needed to see it and this is why it can't be opened in OO / works etc.

But (this is microsoft "protection" remember)
open this excel file and setup a new workbook with four sheets QUIZ \ Answers \ Working \ Online
cell A1 of Answers is =[cgq002341.xls]Answers!A1

Moral - don't ever leave data in an excel file that you give to anyone else ...

Too noisy to listen to the riffs - might try later..
