are there many people on boards involved in sales of any kind?

that goes for pre-sales, technical sales, tele-sales, B2B sales, B2C sales, internal and external account management, business development.

im just wondering if there may be a need for a sales forum linking of the work forum.

im in sales, and im still learning a lot about it, and would love to throw up some ideas, questions link etc about busines sales in general.

    would it be worth it?

Not in sales myself but I'm interested in changing careers at present and technical sales could possibly be of interest. It'd certainly be good to have somewhere to go for info.

Sales however is a small enough field of occupation (well yes, it does have a large scope) so if you were going to create one for it then possibly create one specific to computing, CVs (that's what a large number of the jobs posts seem to relate to), Engineering, Science etc.

One definite advantage that I could see is that there is quite a log of sticky's on the work section as is. If there were to be the material for Sales sticky / Science Jobs sticky / Engineering Jobs sticky etc then the Work page would pretty quickly become all-stickys. With relevant sub-sections there would be the opportunity to have relevant sub-stickys.

This thread doesn't seem to be getting too much response here - would it be worth posting in Feedback forum also? The Work forum is relevant to everyone but a lot of people don't necessarily visit until it's needed and might miss this....
