Did anyone sign up for any of the Get Healthy, Stay Healthy events that are on over the next few days?

I'll be testing people in the sports science labs tomorrow so if anyone is doing VO2 max tests say hello!

It's a great oppertunity to get your health/fitness assessed and to get a VO2 max test done normally can cost a lot.

Is that where you're stuck on a threadmill with a tube in your mouth (going to some "machine") and made to run until you hit your limit?

Yup, either treadmill or on a bicycle ergometre.

Gollem I think they're only open to DCU students. It was being run by one of the DCU societies we were just conducting some of the testing for them as part of the sport and health faculty.

I'm not sure if there'll be any oppertunities such as this, but we're always looking for people to test so we can practice etc.

I'll send you a PM if we're ever stuck for someone.
