need response time to know about gaming - not listed there - you need 16ms for gaming to be flawless - that said me mate has 25ms and we've never noticed any lag on it

13ms seems unusual to my eye - dont they sometimes list them at 13 up 12 down ie 25ms? I've seen 16ms and 12ms.... though I've been wrong before..... (and will be again I'm sure!)

    Thanks unkel.
I picked up one today, image quality is top class with beautiful colours etc but i do get a slight blur while playing games like call of duty, day of defeat etc.
My racing games are all fine with no blur at all.
Its just the rapid change of direction games i get this slight blurring.
Yes indeed the response time is stated as 13ms on box, manual.
Can others maybe reply one their experiences with tft monitors,do you guys get a slight blur when rapidly looking laft to right and back again basically panning viw rapidly?

Ive just contacted a friend who has a monitor with 10ms and he says he gets a slight blur.
He goes on to say he no longer notices it but really noticed for day or two after being used to crt.
Maybe after 4 years with crt im too fussy.

Yes people have different tolerance levels for ghosting. It is generally accepted at this point that anything 16ms or better is ok for fast gaming. If you're picky, stick with your CRT for another year or two

CRTs have a response time of less than one ms

TBH i had to bring it back for refund:(
For racing games it was gorgeous but for fast view panning online shooter games it was very laggy and unplayable.
I thinking of ordering a sweet Samsung 19" monitor from komplett.
Thanks for all your help guys.

I think that some TFT list their peak response times or something like that. Theres a more accurate rating, but I can't remember what its called. I have a Relysis 766B 20ms (budget TFT really) and in most games I don't notice any blur, but there could be some just in my peripheral vision, if you know what I mean. I'm very picky and I wouldn't say its as good a CRT but its very very close. Close enough that I wouldn't go back. They are just easier on the eyes for all other work. My Sony Laptop TFTscreen is noticably better quality. But the Relysis is great for the money. A lot of more expensive TFT's aren't as good. Its also so much nicer to move and have more desk space.

Ignore rated ms timing, and look up reviews online.

Plenty of 25ms monitors that dont ghost in DVD's or games, just a matter of research.
