    anyone know how much music in mins can a vinyl hold per side (timewise that is)??

    20 minutes each side of a 12" at 33rpm. Any more and the quality just disappears up it's hoopla, plus skipping and jumping. Also, if you're considering getting your band's music put onto vinyl spend as much time as you can afford making sure everything you've recorded is entirely in phase. Phasing narrows the grove and can make the needle hop out. Get it mastered specifically for vinyl by someone who's mastered for vinyl before.

    Yeah don't master it for cd sound range because it sounds cack on vinyl. I've regretted a few vinyl purchases recently as the mastering has been piss poor.
