I'm guessing you've bought from them then?

yes - for laptops , mobile phones, bios, rechargeables for digital cams, etc.

I heard leaving them in a freezer in an airtight bag (pushing all the air out) has been known to make them work again! Must try it with my mums Gateway laptop.

Is it better to charge until full, then run off the battery? I would have thought running off the A/C would lengthen the overall life-time of the battery, not visa-versa.

Might be getting one from US.....has anyone shipped batteries from the US before? do you know what the customs will charge?? or is there a way like with the mobiles to get it thru??? e.g. Battery for Bday present worth 30 dollers!!

Well I thought removing the battery was obviously over cautious but nope! Seems like everytime the battery kicks in for a bit and drains the power recharges it and so on and so on until 6months+ later you've got an empty battery!

I can't find a replacement for my Compaq Presario 900 laptop battery anywhere in 6 months. Even HP are pretty useless. I've mailed all the sites above cos there's still no sign of it up there...and yes I have the battery code and all.
    :(

Try ebay in US.....seems to be a lot of batteries there available...

    Thanks. Still no luck.

Infact laptopbits got back to me and said they can order it for £115 sterling + VAT + P&P which I'm considering it just seems like an awful lot.

What do you think, considering the fact there's no other opportunities?

Edit: Got HP to give me a number for their hardware order people and cang get it delivered in 2 days for 150+VAT.

Just get it on Ebay if its over 50 euro they might charge you customs here but I doubt it. I get lot of stuff from there, but make sure you ask about the shipping first.
