For starters go to Ryaniar (or any other airline flying to France) have a look at their route map, pick a possible flight route and then get the train

I've done that route already. Dublin-Beauvais. Then a bus from Beauvais to Paris. Then make my way to Montparnasse for the TGV to Nantes.

Its a lot of travelling especially if only going for a few days.

Can't find any direct flights to Nantes (NTE) airport from anywhere here

Well you have a choice of going through Stansted or taking the train. I'd pick the train.

Aer Arann go to Lorient from Waterford. This is only a few hours up the coast from Nantes.

    Regards.
