I always mean to try out pigsback.com... is it ahrd to get the pig point things ? Is it much work to get free stuff ?

When you first sign up you could have enough points for €5 credit in a couple of minutes just by signing up for newsletters.

It is easy enough to build up points- small amounts for checking out different offers but got 1000 for booking flights on Aerlingus.com and I think 50 for CDwow.ie etc. (although I now go to Norway site so nothing there).
They have added quite a few things to spend your points on but tbh I have only given mine to the Our Lady's hospital charity so I'm not sure how they are at delivering things.

You make me feel guilty for saying this after your charity but hey:
I recently cashed in my points for a tenner off CDWow.ie; getting the voucher code took about a day but it happened on a Sunday so dunno why - either someone was working overtime and they do them manually or they use 286s to process requests! No delivery experience I'm afraid.

By the way, what's the URL for CDWow Norway? cdwow.no/ doesn't work...
Does that mean there's .com, .ie, .hk, norway, any others?

its www.cd-wow.fm ! generally tends to be cheapest if you've no promo codes for money off UK one www.cd-wow.co.uk, there was a good few money off vouchers posted on the live aid thread on this page - one was for a 105 off whole order link nd then one for 5 x €1 euro off vouchers - nice and handy!

Was just looking at the thread below this (at the time) on bargain vouchers and there is a link for www.dvdbargainnet that has all those cd-wow vouchers so handier again!

Yeah, I'm a big pigsback fan too, and I just like the cdwow vouchers, shame it cant be off the internbational sites though. Also do eddie rockets vouchers for 750 points, 7.50 off! Its easy enough to amass the points i find

Yes... get on it its great not just for getting poins and getting free stuff... but also bargains... You can usually get tickets there for good prices and deals like the 2 for 1 ice skating (RDS) at the moment

Get the Credit card and you get a piggypoint for every Euro!! So buy a laptop for 2k and get 2k points etc... Hell you get 2k points just for signing up!

Thanks - never knew about that one. I use xe.com for my currency conversions generally (don't like getting to the last shopping basket page before knowing!).

That DVD Bargain place (link is missing a .) is handy but I got about 4-5000 hits for West Wing! Argh!

Re: Pigsback - if you have your homepage set as all offers you can generally get about 50points a week for clicking a link and then closing it again immeadiatley.
Do those kinda corporate credit cards have some snag apart despite their obvious customer loyalty awards? Like can you add them to 24hour Banking and so on? i.e. Why should I just have a blue visa card from AIB?!

Have 630 PiggyPoints (oink, oink!) from just clicking the few links. Noticed the voucher section on the site too, has anyone tried printing out the vouchers and handing them in at a supermarket? There's savings to be made but I don't want to look like an arse (or is that a piggy?) with dud vouchers.

Na they work fine. Think you only get the points when the supermarket send them in for their cash...so just use away and forget about them until you gain some. I find the grocery selection doesn't change enough.

Anyone find the new site has way less of the "view this link for 10 piggypoints" offers...I used to get about 1-2 a day, now I get that a week. :(

Re: Pigsback - if you have your homepage set as all offers you can generally get....

Yeah, good to set your pigsback.com home page preferences to all offers, but here's another thing : I've been on the proverbial pig's back for about two years, and have discovered that if you delete your cookie(s) — natch'ly I have multiple accounts...! ;) — and log in afresh each time you visit, you get LOADS more of those nice little purple-edged 'click-on-me-for-10-piggypoints' thingies...

Try it and see. I went through a phase of having pigsback.com set as my browser's home page, figuring 'great, every time I start up I'll get 30 or 40 points...' But of course the cookie knows the last time you logged in, and if you do it 5/10 times a day you end up getting diddley-squat in click-throughs. Delete your cookies between logins and you'll soon have more free lunches than you've had hot dinners... :p

[Edit: Proof? Just logged in and notched up 40 piggypoints in the last five minutes, until the ol' 'F5' thing stopped turning up any new offers. But I betcha if I delete my cookie and ask my wife/kids to log in they'll get the same thing x3...]

Its an MBNA credit card with loyalty points awarded through Pigsback in addition to all the usual features of an MBNA card.. Like all their cards, it can be added to AIB's 24 Hour Banking (don't know about other banks)

Thanks for the trick! Is there really any benefit in having 2+ accounts? i.e. You can't ever join the points so are you really bothered scabbing more and more points TWICE?!

Off topic: Any negative difference in MBNA and the standard AIB Visa? Higher interest considering they have more incentives? I could look all this up but it's just vaguely got me thinking :)

    Read this thread: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=202784

I've never had problems with MBNA, but others have.

You do get a cheque book from MBNA, acts as a cash advance but very handy all the same (saves having a bank cheque book).

    Very good. Enjoy!

P.S. Do IE and Firefox cookies get stored seperatley? i.e. Can I save myself some hassle and have 1 account on each browser?

I also deleted all the www.pigsback.com cookies yesterday and two pigsback.webzone.ie cookies and still got no new offers.
