Printer Cable question

I am trying to buy a new laptop for work but the vast majority of them seem to only have USB connections, however I need to be able to use my HP4100 printer on it which doesn't have a USB connection, just the old parallel device. I have been told that there are cables which are mixed or at least I should be able to get some sort of adaptor but I haven't been able to find one. I asked in PC World but was brushed off and it was suggested I either buy a new printer or get one of their own brand Advent Laptops which has the parallel port.

Does anyone know if such things exist and if so where I might find one, I did have a look through the sites listed above but couldn't find one.

    Cheers
