When the plug was pulled on the show they all went their separate ways. Lambert returned to his puppet theatre in Monkstown and brought Crow with him. Lambert's daughter, incidentally, was responsible for the nightmare that was Bosco. Forty-Coats got his own short-lived series (again this turned out to be too popular for RTE's liking) before Fran Dempsey, the actor who played him, died of a heart attack. Judge made something of a career for himself in public information films before the work dried up and he rejoined Lambert in the theatre. And as for Godmother, the less said the better (according to the libel lawyers at any rate). Suffice it to say that she never worked in this town again. If you ask me, though, Slithery Snake was the real victim in that particular unpleasantness; she never wrote, never called.

Many years ago I was in the RTÉ car park and there it was in all its disintegrating glory. Might be still there ...

PS Isn't Old Mr. Brennan our man Bill?

Closing Credits with the type of guitar solo only the RTÉ concert orchestra could produce!

Is Fran Dempsey dead? Really? And another question - is he Ian Dempsey's dad?

I'm pretty sure he's still alive and is not Ian Dempsey's dad.

He's still alive and is a music teacher. He turns up at the schools choir competition in Wesley each year with his students.
