Living between D15 and D7 , I was wondering it there is a way to see what broadband systems are available, NTL have said no to us even though its ok 5 min down the road, I have no fixed phone line in at the moment as we would only be forking out for line rental at the moment.
So I'm looking at wireless, or eircom , maybe NTL. Anyone know of a site where i can type in may address to see whats available to me?
I want a 512 Kbps min download with 128Kbps uplaod, but i'd love more like the rest of us i guess.

    thanks

    Hi,

There is the Government's site http://www.broadband.gov.ie/
but I think its not updated greatly, but the advise is impartial and should list all providers.

Wireless would be the best option, given that NTL say no, and you have no phone line. No line rental + monthly DSL subscription for a seldom used phoneline then, only the monthly sub for the Wireless.

Boards.ie 's own Broadband forum might be a bit livelier than here for BB discussions.
