First time spotting the above address, and I'm interested to hear if anyone has used it ? For example:
    Dimension 8400, Pentium 4, (3.0GHz), MiniTower
English - Win XP SP2 Home
    System Price EUR 1,745.18
    Promotion Discount (EUR 789.87)
    Discounted Price EUR 955.31
    Promotion End Date December 2 2004 06:00 AM Europe/Belfast

Operating System: English - Win XP SP2 Home
    Memory: 1024MB PC-4200 DUAL CHANNEL (2X512mb)
Hard Disk Drive: 160GB (7200rpm) Serial ATA Hard Drive
    Video: 128 MB PCI Express¿ x16 ATI Radeon¿ X800 SE
Modem: V.92 Data Fax Modem Ire/Spn
Sound Card: Creative Labs SoundBlaster® Audigy™ 2 Sound Card
    CD Read-Write Drive: 48X/32X DVD/CDRW Combo Drive

    link

Whereas the same system going through their normal dell site costs about €1052

Is it worth the odd €100 in savings ?

dell outlet are the systems that were returned or damaged, in one word refubrished!

IMHO it's worth to add 100 and buy a new system!

Also applies to systems that people ordered and changed their mind, i.e. nothing wrong at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If your going to be doing alot of gaming a SE card are normally not the way to go. But the X800 SE is only sold to OEM manufactures so theres not alot of info about thieir performance.

You'd be better building your own system than buying a Dell.

Only if you are a competant builder. If you aren't and have problems it can be fustrating.
Also factor in the cost of Windows XP (if you want to use it) into the equation.

Time was some machines were returned because of sales errors and so did not have any problems at all - not sure if they remanufacture all the returns or not now. I got one that needed a video card changed - but it was a known problem so was fixed. That 486 is now a firewall so I can't comment on more recent systems :D
