I looks fine on my Linux PC using the Firefox web-browser. I'm no 100% but i think if it works on Firefox on windows it will probably work on Firefox Linux. You can download Firefox at http://www.mozilla.org

Most things seem ok. The one I noticed much to my disgust was ROS (Revenue Online Services). Which refuses to work. What's even sillier is that it's Java. Java designed to be portable and they refuse to support it.

They did say they'll support it at some stage in the future but I don't think I'll be checking again anytime soon.

looks like that fox has caught an ie chicken? anyway thanks for the info. I cant even get biz online to work with opera or firefox under windows. i have latest sun java installled and it sorta half works then gets stuck and crashes both in win2k and redhat lin9. When you say april is this official from boi? why the hell does this thing only like ie? at the moment its the only thing keeping us from dumping windows and saving a whole lot of money  anyway thanks again for the info.

I may be mistaken, but is the BOI biz online applet only compatible with the Microsoft Java VM? I know this is the case with the AIB one, which is bloody rediculous as Microsoft have stopped developing this and dropped all support for it in favour of the Sun VM

Sorry jackbauer, I was reffering to the Revenue Online Service website that halenger mentioned, not the BOI one

email/call/mail BOI and tell them this, the more customer feedback they get, the quicker they will change their browser/Java VM support policy

    Hope this helps

just rang biz online tech support.seems the previous poster was correct its M$ java machine only. no plans for linux support they dont even support mac osx. oh well when my 6 month free trial ends i'll be giving it the boot. ridiculous. they want people and businesses to use online banking but you need to spend a fortune on M$ licences and use the most insecure browser on the market. thanks again to all.

Have the idiots in BOI IS even checked M$ support for the m$ VM

the M$ VM is no longer being distribuited or supported, if BOI don't cop on quick then nobody with a modern OS of any kind will be able to use their software

typical shortsighted approach that seems the norm these days.i guess the theory is if your in business you *must* be running M$ software  as i say once the 6 month trial runs out its goodbye. no way i'm paying ?15/month just so i can be trapped with M$ products and their joyously expensive licenses. guess i'l just hit "statement request" everytime i go near the atm see how they like that!

Disgraceful, only supports m$ JVM ?.
Would make you think twice about banking with BOI when they do crazy things like this
