bad beat to beat them all...

dev doesn't seem to be posting many bad beats lately
(whats with that?) so i thought i'd bring one back..
this one was so bad it was almost good.

a weekly cash game with the lads.
im in the big blind with the big stack.. one limper, small blind calls

i check with K2 diamonds.

The flop comes A 6 8 all diamonds.
I check into the limper who bets 1/3 his smallish stack (€13) on a steal.
small blind folds ive the nuts flush so i reraise him all in

He calls and turns over pocket sevens. one of them a diamond.

He curses and blinds and says "im drawing dead"
next card was the 10 of diamonds.
last card was the 9 diamonds for the runner runner straight flush. :eek:

he had about a 2% chance of winning that

You know what... I have one copied into memory and came here EXPLICITLY to post it when I saw your post!

Thats a pretty foul beat but I think this one is actually worse in terms of gut-wrenching snatching-defeat-from-the-jaws-of-victory stakes...

This was in a 20 STT yesterday. I went straight on tilt but thankfully took it out on a poor low stakes cash game and beat the unholy sh*t out of them to make more then twice my loss back. I was down to 340 after my AKs met AKh and he hit his flush! Bad day at black rock... then this happened:

but at least he had the fives on the flop
so when you see a gut-wrenching runner runner bad beat
it does send you on tilt..

ended up loosing about 80 quid in the following hour..
staying in on inside draws etc.. !!
