    Folks how are you?

    Looking for a cheap external dvd burner, pref 12 speed + and -. Seen one on SVP for €130. Anything cheaper? couldnt find anything on komplett, any one seen a bargain lately?

    I had a look around recently and the cheapest i could fiind was on Dabs.

    It was LiteOn DVD+-r/rw 12 x USB2 for £66.98 inc vat. Dabs now charge only £5 delivery, so i reckon your looking at just over €100 euro's.

    As i didnt buy one yet, if anyone finds a cheaper one feel free to let us all know :)

    USB 1.1 isn't fast enough for DVD burning, if that is what you mean.

    On SVP you can get a pioneer 16x dual layer DVD burner for €71
    On the same site you can get a 5.25" enclosure with USB2/firewire connection for €35.
    Bung 'em together ét voila, top class external burner cheap as.

    nah.. i sold my pc ages ago and the guy i sold it to already had a dvd burner.

    btw, just noticed you want an external burner.. mine's internal so probably not worth the 60e (i don't really know the prices of these things anymore)
