Has anyone any idea where I could buy a wood lathe on the net?

Lenehans (www.lenehans.ie) is the only one in Ireland that I know of that sells online, although they have a limited selection.

Axminster in the UK (www.axminster.co.uk) have a pretty good selection of both their own lathes and JET lathes, and ship to Ireland too without too much fuss.
There may be other UK based suppliers who may be prepared to ship to Ireland as well.

Where are you based? There are a handfull of shops that sell lathes in Dublin (Lenahans, McQuillans and Richard Gough), Joe McKenna in Limerick plus a few people in the North.
