Originally having problems with just by iPod. but now I realise windows is not recognizing any USB Connections.

Have re-installed all USB drivers, but no luck.

    Any Suggestions????
I’m having trouble with my iPod. It was working fine and then yesterday, for no apparent reason, windows has stopped recognising the iPod when I connect it via the USB cable.

The following message appears: ‘USB Device Not Recognised’. Additionally, nothing happens on the iPod, the ‘Do not remove from Cradle’ sign does not appear.

Does anyone have any suggestions how I can fix this?? I’ve already tried the following with no luck:
    1) Re-installed from original iPod setup CD
    2) Re-installed the latest version of iTunes
    3) Restored my computer to a point in time where it was working.

Unfortunately, none of these have worked. Does anyone have any suggestions?

My brother got a Creative ZEN Touch, brand new. But our pc would recognise it but I could never transfer files to it. Then I tried another pc and the same agian. Then i figured out it was the cable. I would suggest you try a different cable before you waste your time messing around with ur PC

Yeah, I tried it on my brother's on Sunday night and it worked fine. However, the USB cable used to work, can these things stop working?

Do you have more than 1 USB port on your PC? See I have a few on my laptop and i've found if I stick something into the first port it'll install it and it works but then if I put it into one of the other ones it would try to install the device again. Have you tried using diff USB port Fib?

go into device manager and under universal serial nus controllers just remove everything. Reboot the pc. Windows will then install the usb drivers again. You might need the drivers urself if windows doesn;t to it itself. In fact only do this with XP cause that its only OS i have tried this with) If its a Dell PC it should install the drivers automatically (tried it on many dells before). Infact if its any pc that you didn;t build yourself it should work fine.

Then give the iPod a go.
