if anyone uses Cakewalks Guitar Tracks software - PLEASE HELP

i recently picked up cakewalks guitar tracks 3 for my pc i wanted to be able to record acoustic rhythm stuff and record electric lead over it etc i have a small problem that after i record one track when i try to play it all i get is silence, and its def recording cause if i export the track it plays fine anywhere else

Make sure that cakewalk is using your soundcard as its default output. Apart from that, I dont really know the software. i use nuendo myself which is a bigger affair. I have a copy here somewhere...... pm me if you want to *try*
