I am wanting to buy another stick of 512mb 3200 ram. I was just wondering if someone could help me with deciding if the more expensive of these two would be worth getting and maybe explain the difference and if i need it.

    512Mb DDR RAM, PC3200, 184 pins - GoodRAM GR400D64L3/512
    DDR400 module, 184 pins, 400Mhz, CAS3
    Double-sided, 16 chips, 32Mx8 chips, Stock: 20+ units
    Manufacturer: GoodRAM €84

    512Mb DDR RAM, PC3200, 184 pins - VeriTech
    DDR400 module, 184 pins, 400Mhz, CAS3, double-sided
No heatspreader, 16 chips, Stock: 2-5 units
    Manufacturer: VeriTech €89

    Any help would be great

What's the spec of your existing ram? Placing a new stick in could be dependant on the memory timings of your existing one. E.G. if your existing one is CAS 2.5, the CAS 3 stick may not run at 2.5 etc.

Read your manual or else run sisandra or cpuiz that should tell you

you might be better of buying 2 stocks o ram and then sell of the stick o ram u had. It would be far safer. Running with ram from 2 different manuf is a risk.

Plus cas timings of 3 is sh*t now a days. Check out komplett for some good cheap stuff. Corsair stuff is the best in my opinion. CAS 2.5 is much better
