What's the best hair product for long hair. It's not exceptionally long, or anything. I hope to be getting there in the future. It's maybe 3 - 4 inches. I don't want to spike it up or anything. Just want a surferish look that holds.

At the moment I'm using Fructis Long and Strong, and a VO5 conditioner they seem to be doing the trick for me.

I use Brylcreem Ultra...u can put ur hair in any style you want...only downside is that if your hair touches off anything, the gel tends to turn to powder & looks like you have dandruff

Do you have to use products in your hair to make it look good?

Fructis surf gum comes in a bright green tub with a yellow lid and it smells great and once you get the style right it holds it for at least tweleve hours. It's good value too. What more could you want?

But does it leave your hair greasy?
The last thing your partner wants is to run their hand through your hair and have gunge stuck to their hands....

No it dosen't really leave your hair greasy at all. My bf uses it and it dosen't leave his hair greasey and he dosen't have dry/brittle hair to start with.
