    head to www.crucial.com

Follow the questionaire thingy and find out what sort of ram you need.

Then head to www.shop4memory.com and buy it there!

If you have narrowed it down you can always post here what you have selected (or in tweaking/modding) to get feedback on brand etc.

    All the best,

    Dave

If you know the manufacturer and model, you can still use the same crucial thingy to check (e.g. if you select Abit, you can then select by Motherboard, then model etc.

Else look up the manual that came with the MoBo, or manufacturers website for specs
Or see what the BIOS says about it.

And finally of course just open up the case and take out the ram and have a look at it (Unplug PC ;-) touch some metal parts of the case to discharge some static electricity , carefully press down the release catches of the ram module and take it out by holding the edges, not any important bits). Often there will be a sticker etc with the type of ram listed

When you find out what type of RAM you need, you might wanna look at my thread as I'm selling a load of RAM here. Also you should take note of how many available slots you have for more sticks of RAM
