Played the demo, but it wasnt very well designed and as a result I didnt get into it at all. Graphically looks great, and thats all about all I could pick up as the demo just lumps you into a misson without bothering to explain what the interface means or how to use it which made it an exercise in annoyance/confusion for me.

Didnt exactly leave me with a good impression of the game tbh, though I thinkg theres a good game struggling to get out once someone bothers to show you how to control the ships involved.

To resurrect an old thread I played the latest demo of this game and while it's a VERY confusing game to start off with (particularly as yur never sure if the command u have given has been recognised and whether or not the command u think u have given is the one that is to be carried out) Once u spend time with it it all becomes clear and the game is a LOT of fun particularly as u can micromanage right down to what weapons a certain ship fires (nothing as cool as getting a battlecruiser up close to an enemy ship and giving them a salvo of everything u have in one shot and ripping them apart) Graphics as well are exceptional given the age of this game and its a game I'll be trying to get my mits on asap.

Sounds like it could be good if you invest some time into it. I like those sort of chess paced games.

I bought the game a few weeks ago and must say, I loved it.
the story was really cool and the graphics were also very good.
the controls were a matter of getting used to.
It doesn't really have a tutorial in the classical sense, but it explains the controls to you throughout the game.
also you can pause whenever you want if you are loosing sight of the battle.
I can really recommend it, if you like game where you have to think a bit and like tactics.
    could write tons about it.
if you know the Imperium Galactica series a while back, this game was originally supposed to be the sequel, the third part of that series.

Excellent story, well written & thought out, great engine, but the interface and gui is quite bad.

Picked this up last weekend for the hell of it and now I'm hopelessly addicted to it. Exactly the kind of game I love. Its like a slower paced Homeworld but with more tactical depth. Anyone who enjoyed Homeworld should get this.
