    Hey all,
I've been having this problem that's been progressively getting worse and worse. It started having to get up once a night to go to the toilet till now when its three times. With increasing urgency.

I think it's affecting my sleep as I seem to be always aware that I have to make myself get up so as to avoid it getting to a point where it's painful.
I don't drink very much, and generally go to the toilet before going to bed. My diet is imaculate, plenty of raw/cooked fruit and veggies and sprouts.
Take cod liver oil every day aswell.

I feel fantastic otherwise during the day! Far better than before I cleaned up my diet,

Any suggestions? Any herbs or anything that'd work to help my bladder?
Want to stay away from drugs..

Sounds to me like a kidney infection - symptoms are frequent urinating and pains in the stomach etc. Go to your doc asap and he will give you some antibiotics to sort it out if it is an infection and if not just to put your mind at ease.

I was in a similar situation a while back. When it started to get painful to go to the toilet, I went to the doctor and found out that I had a urinary tract infection. A few horse tablets of antibiotics later, and all was right again.

You say you have a great diet and don't drink much.

Do you mean you don't drink much alcohol or liquids in general?

Might sound retarded, but I decided to improve my diet recently and started drinking lots of water. I was forever going to the toilet. When I stopped drinking lots of water, everything went back to normal.

Also, do you drink a lot of coffee/tea? Both make me pee a lot.

    ...

On a more horrible angle -

I had an STD once and it made me pee a lot. There was no pain associated with the peeing, just lots of it.

It's not unreasonble you have chlamadia/something similar which is now starting to get a grip on your insides (chlamadia is really common - it's what I caught.)

So get yourself off to your doctor for some tests. Hopefully everything will come back negative and then you can investigate from there...

If you want more info on what my chlamadia symptoms were, feel free to PM me.

Also could sound like you type 1 diabiates... going to the toilet a lot during the night is a symtom..
mzai.. so you can't have kids now because of that std?

Yeah that's a symptom of diabetes, but it's usually accompanied by fatigue.

    see a doctor
nobody in here knows what's wrong with you and if your body is doing unusual things then there is a reason for it

No, it's pretty harmless (well, compared to other STDs.) It's only a problem if it's undetected for years.

Also, your body can clear it up naturally.

But obviously... you don't want to catch it! :)

could be just a hyperactive or overactive bladder, which was what i was diagnosed with years ago..not much they can do except put you on old-people pills that give you horrible dry mouth and insomnia. they also mention stuff about doing pelvic exercises but i've never bothered. where women are concerned it's usually related somehow to the reproductive organs, so think about that as well...

What you have could be any number of things but the only way that you will know is by going to a doctor...

Have you lost any weight recently while still eating lots? It could be a sign of Type I Diabeties - if you have this it is not that bad but you need to be diagnosed sooner rather than later as you could get very ill if you leave it for a while. Please go to the doctor - a friend of mine waited a year and she ended up having complications.

Go to the doctor/urologist, this isn't a medical board.
