I would like to make a plea for leniency on the Devils behalf, there is no way that Davey Devil intentionally or otherwise posted what he has been accused of posting for the intentions he has been accused of having.

Davey Devil is a respected member of this community and has many people who know him and would testify as to his character. Therefore I request that Ecksor review his decision and free Davey Devil from prison, maybe with a warning as to future behaviour etc, not that I think it's required.

I think this may have been blown out of proportion and certainly if Ecksor knew Davey he may not have been so hasty.

But seriously, maybe Ecksor had his reasons but it seems like a simple case of an over-reaction to me. Perhaps Ecksor could re-consider the ban?

I presume the admins let each other know who they've banned and why on their forum like moderators do on the mod board. If they don't then maybe such a system would help?

Why dont you read here for davey's own explanation. Whats not to say that you clicked on the link to that site because it was posted in the junior cert forum and you thought that it might be actually relevant to the JC and then saw the pictures inadvertinly?

In fairness Mercadillo, Davey may have shown some bad judgement putting those pictures in the Junior Cert board, but he was not the one who posted the link for the site. He was in fact using the pictures to make a point that the website was of a poor standard. I think you are slightly over reacting here, and maybe your issue should be with whoever posted the link in the first place. A link which is still there now I might add, so banning Davey, but leaving the link there is not really very consistant.

There are many things you should expect when reading Merc's posts:

1. They rarely make any sense
2. The ones written after midnight make less sense.
3. They will more than likely be deleted by him when he realises they make no sense.

Davey did not put the pictures up on that thread as a joke Merc, he put them up there to demonstrate what a thrashy website the link was too. That is actuallly pretty similar to what you did in this thread. To my mind this either makes you not too bright, which having seen other posts of yours I would consider a strong possibility, or just a hypocrite!

A noble gesture Merc, and thanks for highlighting how there are different rules for different users. I wouldn't worry about getting banned though as given that it's me complaining, the admins will more than likely make you an admin.

would it not have been enough to say "that is a trashy website with risque pictures on it not suitible for general viewing"

why ihe put the pictures there is not the issue here, the issue is the fact that he put them up, for all we know his post could be sitting somewhere in googles cashe right now waiting for someont to go searching for "irish message boards"

as for merc and his numerous accounts, they don't make sence and they dont serve a purpose other than annoying other people. dont ban them, delete them.
