Holger Danske?

I've heard horrible rumours that Mr. Holger Danske died last night. You might not be aware, but Holger wrote Three Hearts and Three Lions, which introduced the modern-day fantasy Archetypical Paladin ideal. Was also the very first fantasy book I read. Anyone know if the rumours are true?

oops, sorry about that. Holger Danske was his character (I heard this from a discussion about Danske and pasted the wrong bit in the wrong place).

It is actually Poul Andersson I'm talking about and sadly, it's true.
