Whats the story regarding returning items bought from a pc hardware store?

    Hi lads, basically i bought a msi k8t from komplett but it wouldnt work with my winchester cpu. I heard the k8n works so yesterday i went down to It direct, it turns out this wont work either,

    Could i bring it back tmrw or monday and say it wont work with my cpu id like a refund? am i entitled to do that?

    just get them to flash the latest bios to it and it will work

    spose i could, but maybe they wont do that, i dont want them to send it back to msi, could take weeks

    I always found It direct good to deal with. Explain the situation they might be able to do something for you. Either falsh it for you, or allow you to do it or something. Is it not a bit weird that these boards don't support the winchester?

    they should, they are supposed to at least let u flash the bios, however it seems both the ones o got are quite old, hopefully combatcow can call over to me with his non winchester s939 and i can get the working and sell one!
