hey i was wondering can you help, i have a problem.

Every time i try to click on a program i get a windows message saying

'error, windows cannot accsess the specified path, device or file. You may not have appropiate permission to access them.'

Now i have tried a system restore but i cant get it to work because that error keeps comming up.

    So any ideas?

Every program or just specific ones? If it is everyone than it sounds like a virus to me.

Sorry just read the second bit. Can you run a virus checker or is this coming up?

Could be related. Run Ad-Aware SE Personal and Spybot Search & Destroy, download latest XP fixes etc. SP2 maybe but at your own risk. Some people have had problems with it.
