tbh if you've got light coloured hair you'd be better off doing it yourself, it'll cost you an arm and a leg in a hairdressers.
just pick up some cheap dye and lash it on, its very easy, really!

My hair is dark brown/black and when I tried doing it blonde it turned out orange....after a second application it turned out yellow. Moral of the story: Dark hair sucks :)

I love the idea of blue streaks myself but im 2 scared to go through with it. I have dark hair too so I wouldnt chance doing it myself. Have you seen that new colour thats out. I cant think who makes it but you can buy it in any of the chemists I'd say. Its really dark brown, almost black but theres a blue shimmer in it. It looks fab.

I used to have blue streaks in my hair. Was a few years ago though. I did it myself (have dark brown hair) & it turned out perfectly. The dye was in a small jar, looked like a little paint can....the name of it escapes me. But the colour was midnight blue. It turned out great, but it grew out, which looked stupid. I'd imagine getting it done in a hairdressers will be fairly expensive.

have you thought about coloured extensions???????there cool easy to maintain , the colour lasts until you get tired of them and cut them out (r use nail varnish remover) and you can get lots of differant colours, ive had a few differant colours and they are cool for a bit of a change up!!

If you want them to be bright blue you'll have to bleach your hair, in which case unless you're damn experienced with dying your hair don't do it....I dye my hair every couple of weeks, but my local hairdressers still bleaches it for me. You don't need to hairdressers to dye it though, you can do that yourself easily, which should take loads of the price. Oh, and go to a small local hairdressers instead of a high street one, cheaper for the same job.

However i still have a question, how exactly do i do it myself?

If your hair's darkish, you'll need to buy a bleaching kit, Stargazer do a good one. Apply the bleach to the sections you want highlighted, then wrap them in something like tinfoil. Rinse out the bleach after the required time, then do the same with the blue dye.

I have blue highlights right now, just to warn you, they fade SUPER quickly, be prepared to redo the blue every two weeks or so.
