Right heres the problem! i go to college in Athlone I.T where i am studing electronics and computer engineering. i have a hotmail account and no one in the entire college can access because they use dansguardian and have it blocked out. i asked them are they blocking it for the year and told me that they were. is there anyone out there that could me advice on how to access it as i am expecting a few very important emails tomorrow!!! :eek: :eek:

1) Don't use Hotmail, use your student mail for important emails if you have one.
2) Access Hotmail in an internet cafe\at home\friends gaff\somewhere that isn't the IT

Firstly, I'm sure that's not very helpful to the poor fellow. and secondly, why shouldn't you use hotmail?

nah dont have a student email and dont want to use an internet cafe because of the cost involved! none of my friends have access to the internet where they stay during the week! do you have any ideas how to over come dansguardian

Seriously though, the system admins, if they are of any scratch at all, are going to have it set up so that he can't get into Hotmail from the IT, so what I gave him are really his only alternatives bar attempting to hack, which is bound to be tracked and result in punishment.

ya but you could access hotmail last year in the college!

Well, they've changed policy then. Not a lot you can do about it. They probably blocked a lot of other email sites as well...

They probably want to monitor the e-mails being sent from the college accounts. They have every right to block what ever sites they want.
