Eircom Broadband Query

    4Gb download limit and i downloaded 5.5 Gb's

    What happens now?

    Do they take the extra 1.5Gb from some other limit. do they just add the 3.6cent for each meg on or do i get away with it.

    Just wondering if anyone has any experience with exceeding the download limit with Eircom (not someone else)

    Don't have experience with broadband unfortunately.
    AFAIK they charge ya for the extra.

    Yeh, they will charge you the Xtra few cent per MB. Although, have you NE idea how Xactly they calculate our DL's.
    BTW how do you know U went over the limit. Did they tell U or did u check the BB support option in the Eircom Homepage.
    If you did check their i wouldn't trust it, coz maybe their system is malfunctioning or sumthing, but more often than not i have DLed a few 200 MB - 400 MB, video files, i.e. total = 600 MB say, yet when i actually check my progress there, it only says i DLed, about 300 MB.

    So either they have some serious problem with tracking downloads or else they dont consider that a DL.
    Also I'd say I downloaded about 3GB worth of video from the net last month,yet when i checked the support option, it said i had DLed only 700MB. So what's going on.

    Oh yeh, in answer 2 your other question, I'm afraid the limits R month specific, you cant take the Xtra leftover time from 1 month and use it 4 the next month, i know what a rip.

    Anywho I guess just check with eircom, & C what they say, but it looks as if they will charge U, well if U have definitely gone over the limit, that is.
