Apologies in advance for what is probably a stupid question but anyway, I'm looking at buying some USB Pen Drives and I saw these two products on http://www.komplett.ie

    http://www.komplett.ie/k/ki.asp?sku=110052&view=detailed
This one is a 256mb unit for €78.65

    http://www.komplett.ie/k/ki.asp?sku=301350&view=detailed
This one is a 512mb unit for €53.00

Basically from looking at the specs I see that the the cheaper one uses High speed USB as its interface. Stupid me thought there was only one type of USB port. If this isn't the case, and there are different types, how do I check this? The machines I'll be using are all fairly modern (less than 2 years old, running Win XP).

    USB 1.1 and USB 2.0

Motherboard info should say if you got 2.0 some devices work at a slower transfer rate with 1.1 (my mp3 player says 2.0 only but works in 1.1 just slower)
Some like Ipod (earlier ones ) wont work with 1.1 at all.

Cheers for that, will try and unearth some info on the machines involved to see exactly what the story is.
