Does anyone know of any Remo dealers in the Dublin area besides Music Maker? They seem to have some problem at the moment. Somewhere with a fairly comprehensive stock...

Not sure where you'd need to go,,,Music Maker !._every time I go there,,which isn't often! they seem to have a PROBLEM with Remo,,,
does it HAVE to be in dublin?
If not what about Beat It Music near drogheda,,I know, I know,,it's a haul..but the lads there know their stuff and are way cheaper,,they sell at wholesale prices and have THE best kit varieties in this country for anyone who needs one. I bought my kit there, and double pedal and add on toms,,,lots of freebies thrown in , including 2 mini boom stands! , stix and stick bag,,,so If you can get there,,there ARE choices!

Also Thomann seem to be good for head prices,,,WHEN I get money Ill be re skinning my entire kit compliments of Thomann and it wil only cost around 186 Euros for the whole lot,,thats good going.

    ciao' amigo..Baggio hope it helps.

    Skins or Drums?

Try Waltons (Gerorges st or Frederick St) or Instrumental on Batchelors Walk.

Best bet for comprehensive stock is music123 - no restictions on imports for Remo either.

BTW - if you are looking for skins, why not try Aquarian or Evans? They are pretty good...

    Hey my name is mud,
....is that deffinate about Remo's not incurring any imports???..would be good if that is the case,,coz I'll need a bunch of them soon enough...
if your sure about them not being subject to those duties etc,,,let me know will you?

    ciao' amigo....Baggio.........

He means that amerikkkan based companies can sell them here, some companines are now restricting personal imports. You'll still be taxed when they arrive.

    Doc..thanx for the BAAAAD news...laughs

oh well,,better to know etc...I priced them up on Thomann lately and I know that recently Thomann got a bit of bad press on here,,but still E168 for the whole kit tops and bottoms and 3 snare weatherkings aswell is a damm cheaper deal than anything over here,,by miles!!...unless Im gone completely nuts . So when *oh when!* I get some readies and the wife's happy!! and all me Christmas shopping is done,,,then I'll order the whole lot, who knows maybe they'll discount a bit because Ive bought such a big batch etc...NO ......don't tell me they won't! allow me THIS illusion for a little while at least!!...

ciao' amigo...any sign of our Jazz Guitar friend?...enjoyed

Meh, It's a decent selection of Remo heads I'm looking for... Coated emperors if you must know...... It would be preferrably in the Dublin area... Thanks for the suggestions anyway.

The whole Music Maker situation is quite annoying.. they usually provide me with a big selection but it seems like a signifigant problem they have....(again)
Through much experience, I've now come to realise that in "Music Maker time" one week equals at least three.....bah. They have a lot of Evans anyway, and I would try them but I've been told that although they can match Remo in tone, they don't last quite as long
