Are you looking for a dress, jeans, skirt etc? I'd say have a look in monsoon/topshop/riverisland. I'm sure you could find something suitable in those shop as they sell a wide range of clothes.

Japan or Boston can be good for one off special occasion buys I find. And Dunnes (don't laugh ;) ) have a new "up market" line just after coming in, saw some picks in the sunday indo last, I'm thinking of having a look for my cousin's wedding next year!

I saw some nice new dresses in Vero Moda recently. Oasis and Warehouse are well worth looking at as well. The thing is that you need to take some time out and use it to wander around. You might find what you'd like in some cheapish boutique somewhere.

    Best of luck

Would you believe that i was told this as well last night, that dunnes have fantastic clothes in the 'up-market' line, I didn't really believe it, but to hear it twice in the one week....

As for wearing jeans to a wedding, i would think not, while I know that with the right pair of shoes and a nice top you can really dress jeans up, but surely you want to make a bit more of an effort, your friends are taking you out for the "best day" of their lives and then buying you a fantastic dinner on top of that..just dont wear jeans.

Saying that..i think formal dresses(while not deb-sie but formal none the less) are definatly gone out as well, most weddings i have been at lately have been a nice skirt and top, or a trousers suit, as suggested above try A-wear, vero mode, oasis and villa also so nice dressy-uppy clothes.

New shoes are a must (for every weekend ;) .)

Good luck, and leave loads of time to look around.
