    Hi!
I want to know if there's someone who's active in slotracing. I'm owning a 60m 1/32 slottrack. But it's not very nice to drive around a track by my self. So i'm looking for people who also have scalectrix or other systems and want to have some fun by driving races.

Hey, stickified so that people will always see it!

Really don't want to limit this board to just model aeroplanes, as cloud said it's for all areas of modelling from trains to planes.

    good luck,

    Fobia.

Is that 1/32 slottrack the same as Scalextric, can the track be joined together, or is it a different system?
Will Scalextric cars run on it?

1/32 or 1:32 is one of the sizes that are existing for slotcars and tracks. The others are 1/43, 1/60 and 1/24.
Cars from the following companys are running on the tracks:
    Scalectrix
    Fly /GB
    Ninco
    Cartronic
    Carrera Profi
    Cartrix
    SCX
    Pink Car
    A2M
    And so on.

    All cars running with 12volt.

This size is very popular. Smaller like 1/43 or 1/60 are also running on the bigger tracks but it looks not very good with the little cars. The bigger size 1/24 is made for professionels.

The tracks are all nearly the same size but to put two differend tracks together like Carrera and Cartronic you need a special adapter.

Hope this will help a bit to show what slotracing is.

I have two tracks. One is 1/43 for inside the house. It's 40meter long. The other one is made by Cartronic and Carreara ;) . It's 60meter with two lines or 30meter with 4 lines.
The big track i only use in the garden because it's to big to build it up in the house :(
So, if you are near wexford and you have the cars or a special car  we can build up the big track for a weekend and have some racing fun with a nice drink. This cars you can drive even if you are drunken :)
Even if you have a nice track like scalectrix or SCX i can come with my little Porsche and we can race ;)

Sorry about my english but i am german :D
