    Hi,

I'm a newcomer to chess. I'm wondering is there a generally acknowledged "greatest" game of chess that has been played?

Is there a listing of the top 10 games played (as you would have a list of the greatest games played in other sports)

    Thanks
    aoa

I always liked game six of the Spassky - Fisher 1972 World Championship in Reykjavick. It is a queen's gambit declined.
