    Waterford which was the city/county area to have the higherst increase in unemployment last month (or was it quater?) has been hit again with the announcment that Nypro is to close after just 3 years.

    It seems we've been rationalised! Okay it happens but after just three years?! :eek:

    Old news, I know a lot of people in Nypro and this has been on the cards, in fact a done deal since March or so of this year. The staff have all known since then that November would probably be the time, although they were hoping to accquire another contract in that time it would always have been a remote possibility.

    The thing is, do they repay any of that 16.5 million that Entreprise Ireland
    had provided them with?

    Its a serious blow for Waterford alright, for a town thats growing so fast, it
    really does need some new industry coming into the area. Waterford Crystal is
    struggling, Bausch & Lomb - Rayban closing its doors and now this..
