I had the following IM conversation with a Nigerian scammer who was asking me to give him personal details so he could transfer a dead man's money into my account:

MrNuked: I don;t think that I could live with myself though, robbing all that money
MrNuked: II shall see if i can find the man's real family. It belongs to them.
MrNuked: Where is he from. I shall start advertising for thme to come forward
    bassy_williams: am back
    bassy_williams: are you still there
    MrNuked: yes
MrNuked: Do you not think this is immoral?
MrNuked: We would both go to hell if we did such a thing
    bassy_williams: lol
    bassy_williams: well i like you
    MrNuked: http://www.silicon.com/research/specialreports/thespamreport/0,39025001,10002928,00.htm
    bassy_williams: you make some sence
bassy_williams: but my claint is no more living
bassy_williams: he died about 4 years ago
bassy_williams: so the whole money will be wast just like that
bassy_williams: no i dont want that
    bassy_williams: what site is this?
MrNuked: "Of course those who fall for this scam never see these promised millions. Instead their bank accounts are often cleaned out once they have handed over all their details - which include bank account numbers, copies of their passport and drivers licence and phone and fax numbers - it is a simple identity theft, dressed up with a tempting lure for the gullible."
bassy_williams: what are you taking about
    MrNuked: lol
bassy_williams: i dont understand what you meant
bassy_williams: are you saying this is a scarm or what do you mean?
bassy_williams: well i think i have to leave you
MrNuked: It is a site describing a scam which entails someone asking you to give them all your info so they can transfer dead money into your account
MrNuked: which is exactly what you are asking me
bassy_williams: i have not here of that before
bassy_williams: if you dont want it is ok
bassy_williams: i have to go now
    MrNuked: why?
bassy_williams: because i told you that is not scarm
bassy_williams: i dont ask for your account informations of your money
    bassy_williams: i dont them
    MrNuked: ?
bassy_williams: i can still take care of my self and family with the little money i have so i dont still your money
MrNuked: Well I've **** all money too
    bassy_williams: ok
    bassy_williams: can i go now?
    MrNuked: sure
    bassy_williams: ok
    bassy_williams: take care

You could of wound him up more. I would of gone the "My uncle got this from another guy too! He said he almost has the money. He is going to Nigeria in 2 weeks to pick up the cash!! Maybe I can go with him?"

Yeah, this is why we need to get more senior citzens online, they could misunderstand him for hours on end, then talk about the old days until the scammer just leaves.

That is quite possibly the worst scam bait I have ever seen. take a look at 419eater.com to seen how it is done.

Well that's because I wasn't baiting him. Was just bored and vaguely curious.

You are aware that there are other forms of communication than slagging?
