Tools > Internet Options > Advanced tab > Browse section > uncheck "Reuse windows for launching shortcuts."

    Hope this helps. ;)

    Also forgot to say,
you can do it the explicit way:

right-click on the link and choose "open link in new window"

    Its not that simple, eh
    Well it could be spyware/adware
Do you have any scanners for such now would be a good time to scan :D
winshow.dll is one such IE "helper" which can cause described behaviour

A number of security groups have gone so far as to recommend that people discontinue use of Internet Explorer due to it's poor security record.

Alternatives include Firefox, Mozilla, Opera (although it has similar issues to IE), Kmelon...

It has been happening since day 1 of new pc. Could it still be spyware or adware. Yknow what else is really annoying. If i choose to let pop up on a website it will redirect to the pop ups site and then i have to open up IE again and disable pop ups from this site. Fkn hell its really boiling my pi$$ now. Sorry for rambling
